Premier is hiring a Director of Accounting and Finance who will be responsible for overseeing all financial aspects of the business and driving the company’s financial strategy and planning. This role will be responsible for assessing the financial performance of the company, as well as possible risks and investments.  Broad knowledge of all accounting, financial, and business principles is expected, along with the ability to think strategically and influence others. Ultimately, the objective is to guide the company toward continued profitability and long-term success.

The ideal candidate must have strong client-facing experience and be able to interpret business needs in order to provide effective solutions that deliver real business results.  Having a strong interest in technology and an understanding of the professional services marketplace will prove helpful when dealing directly with our team. The ability to manage and prioritize projects, attend and lead meetings, and provide project status reports to management areessential skills for this position. Excellent analytical, organizational and leadership abilities are needed.

Primary responsibilities for this role will include but not be limited to:

  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual US GAAP compliant financial statements.
  • Analyze financial performance, strategize to mitigate risk, and retain constant awareness of the company’s financial position.
  • Prepare financial forecasts and present to senior executives.
  • Manage the company’s financial accounting system to ensure streamlined processes and accurate entry of financial data.
  • Oversee audit, tax and internal controls operations, including coordination with external CPA firm.
  • Ensure adherence to tax and all regulatory requirements.
  • Handle the day-to-day accounting transactions related to AR and AP.
  • Manage banking relationships, bank credit facilities and loan agreements.
  • Perform Month End Closings, monthly bank reporting and credit compliance.
  • Advise management on appropriate tax, financing and capitalization strategies.
  • Direct any future systems upgrades and enhancements and supervise outsourced technology vendors as required.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, CPA preferred.
  • 7+ years of experience in a similar, leadership type role (previous public accounting experience and/or professional services, a plus).
  • In-depth knowledge of corporate finance and accounting principles, laws, and best practices.
  • Strong knowledge of US GAAP.
  • Experience with financial models to support decision making.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of financial analysis and forecasting.
  • Ability to utilize financial models to support organization-wide strategic decision making.
  • Proficient in the use of MS Office and QuickBooks.
  • An analytical mind with a strategic ability.
